99 yukon transmission problems

Hi im about to buy a 99 yukon from my friend his truck has 4wd and the transfer case went out my question is.Can the transfer case be rebuilt and do u know what model transmission ccame in that model truck

Trans should be a 4l60e, and yes transfer cases can be rebuilt or exchanged for a rebuilt one.
