Sock+Rubberband = New air filter

I was bored today, so I took my intake and filter off the old d16 and threw it on the b16. Then I decided I wanted to drive my car, but I didn't want to bother switching the intake again. So I took a sock and a rubber band, and just used that as my air filter. It's workin' out awsome and it's loud as hell.

Ok, I know I shouldn't use a sock for an air filter, but my engine is as good as dead anyway, so I might as well have some fun. :cool:

It's a Chikara header, and the engine has already been sold to LadyNRedSi.

You could have at least used a nerf ball... J/K... I was thinkin If you got some chicken wire and made an elonged shape you could stuff it in the end of the sock and have alot more flow! Also Try the black nylon sock, I hear they flow better than the white ones!

You guys are killing me. I think i'd be worried about lint and toe jam getting sucked through my engine. Lint prolly wouldnt hurt but toe jam may cause some serious blockage:D

The black ones dont have lint so theres another +! I bet you could flow alot of clean air throe a sock! No joke... Here is what you should do for fun, go find yourself a plastic bottle that just fits over the TB then cut the end off and poke a shit load of holes in it and test run it... Tell us if you flow more throe the black sock or the white sock...
