I was wondering if anyone ever encountered this problem. When the car first turns on, the engine light is on and its over 2,000 rpm's, If I don't let it warm up a lot, when it drives it'll suddenly turn off on me and it will take a while for it to turn on. Then when it turns on it's back to normal.
I have check diagnostic codes and got a 4 and a 7
checked the tps and everything, and after that instead of getting a 7 I get an 11, 11 Is the number I do not know.
any help appreciated =)

I'm not overly sure about Toyota, but most TPS of the dya were adjustable and operate in a set volatge range (reference) used by the ECM to determine throttle blade (butterfly) position. Might want to check and make sure the teh TPS didn't come loose or get wet. A faulty TPS reading will cause your idle issue.
On a side note, wich model in 86 used EFI, I thought they were all carb til the 89-90 model?

have you changed the pvc valve as this will make it stall out?
