Door Adjustment

Hi, I'm new to this forum and probably am posting a question that has been asked before. Please excuse the my ignorance.
Does anyone know how to adjust the side doors on a 95 c/k.
The mauals that I have found only relay adjustments to the latch mechanism.
Any help would be appreciated.

The majority of assumed needed door adjustments are due to worn hinge bushings/pins, Check them for wear first.

There is really no set procedure for door adjustments. It's just a trial and error procedure and takes patience, If you can give a idea of what your door is doing/where it's hitting someone may be able to point you in a direction to start.

I replaced the pins in the hinges and the door still is not aligned properly.
The door drops about 1 to 1-1/2 inch when it's open.
My brother in law has the same problem with his 95 c/k.

It appears that there are no hinge bolts to adjust the door up and down.
I am confused as to how the alignment process is to be done.
Perhaps the hinges have become slightly bent...?

How do they fix this if the vehicle is involved in an accident where the hinges are damaged?

If all you replaced was the pins, you will need to replace the bushings as well. They are what actually wear.

If your door is dropping that much I'd say you have something broken or the bushings wore so bad they broke and fell out, Have someone lift the door up and down while you look at the hinges and see where all the movement is at.

Probably just bushings like J-Ri mentioned.

I replaced the bushings at the same time I replaced the pins.

It dosnt make sense to me.

My brother in law has the same problem.
