89 s10 blazer 4x4 not working

all my vac. lines seem to be working, acu. is working, was working 2 wk ago no problems, got stuck today in 8 in of snow, and 4-wheel drive didn't work. when i shift it from 2 high to 4 high and 4 low acu. and cable is working, but front tires will not spin. the indicator lights for 4 high and 4low work but the 4 wheel drive diagram on right does not show it is engaging, please help!

When you shift to 4WD low, do the rear wheels actually go into low range?
