No real problems, just a question or two. As it is used with some wear, its developed a small oil leak or two. The first being the valve cover gasket which brings me to my question. on the '99 2.2 liter engine, near the center of the valve cover (front) there is a raised threaded bolt hole. Not being too familiar with this engine yet, is there a part or a bolt missing or is this a lift point for an engine hoist?
Second question, the other leak may (depending on what happens after valve cover gasket replacement) be the pan gasket. Has anyone had to replace this, and does the trans interfere with removing the pan to do so?

One other thing I forgot. The car had a bunch of work done to the engine and brake systems before purchase, However, the check engine code was never cleared, nor was the abs error and for some reason the e-brake warning light stays lit.
Will a standard reader found in every mechanics shop in the world reset these codes or does it have to go to a gm dealer to reset?

Well to reset the check engine light you can unhook the neg battery cable and leave it off for about 5 min and hook it back up it should reset the computer and get rid of the check engine light.

Thanks, I'll try that. As far as I can tell the abs system is functioning. I'm wondering if since the ebrake warning light is also staying on that maybe I don't have a short somewhere causing it to trip both lights.
