hey all, here is a recently completed model of my 1:1 celica ST184 i brought with money from working at maccas,:screwy: hope you like it, my car isnt very heavily modified, but hey, im only 16, plenty of time to get down to that.:naughty:
my plans are to eventually fit the V6 from the Camry sportivo, and eventually maybe a mild twin turbo setup, but thats in the long run.either way, im really happy with the way this model turned out. apparently this kit itself is very rare, i sure hope so, because i paid dearly for this on ebay.
comments and critisism welcome.
i dont have any flattering pictures of the car as of now, but i have one from a long time ago(which is even more unflattering:shakehead), but ill post it so you have some idea, the car is in better shape now.:grinyes: for one its not as dusty!she sits a bit nicer etc: this was taken the day we got my 1st set of mags eva!
PS:the last pic is there cos its just cool, and was partially the motivation behind the model and the 1:1

I'm glad she sits nicer now - was gonna say, your model has a better stance than your 1:1 :) Nice job.

I personally wouldn't put V6 under the bonnet, but instead I would tune up the original Toyota engine as it would produce enough power for nice ride. But on the other hand the V6 Celica would be more unique although it would take a lot of work to complete, never mind of twin-turbo setup...but hey, if you can do it, then just do it!
The model itself looks good, by the way.

yeh, everyone has said, either buy a GT-four celica, and save myself the trouble, and get 4wd as a bonus, or they have said dump the 3S-GTE in it, by the way, the model is a GTR(2.0L) but my actual car, is the 2.2 5S-FE, we never got any of the other models here, except the GT-four(in australia) and we dont call them GTR, GTS etc: we just call em "SX", i rebadged mine GTS cos it sounds a bit nicer than SX :D
but yes, the reason i thought of the V6, was i have never seen it done,im surprised, since looking into both engine bays, it look relativly straight forward. the V6 box, and the 5sfe box seem to bolt up to the V6 no problem, the TT setup, thats a bit of a maybe, since i imagine the alloy V6 with a good set of extractors and a mild cam, would make reasonable power, with a nice exhaust note.i have also heard the 5SFE can make a bit of power aswell, but wheres the fun in that? ;)but anyways, thanks for your comments guys :D
