is there any reason it takes my heater so long to warm up. like when
I leave to goto work, I start my car let it warm up a few min, and I have the heater on the hole time. then I take off from home and when I all most get to work then my heater starts blowing out warm air. untill then its just cold air.

Check your coolant, it could also be your thermostat.

Yeh if you're low on coolant you might wanna check around the hoses to see if its leakin anywhere.

It could be the heater matrix is blocked, this is basically a small radiator which the heater gets it heat from, It can be removed and then flushed out which usually makes the heater work again,

Yeah...it sounds like your thermostat is stuck open...this allows free flowing of coolant, and keeps the car from heating up quickly...you should feel warm air as soon as you see the temp gauge move.

A thermostat is about $3.50...make sure you also get a gasket...the old one won't be any good once you pull the housing apart...make sure you put the new one in the same way the old one came out too ;) The thermostat is right next to the bleeder valve on the passenger side of the head sorta in front of the dizzy I think...pop off the hose and then two 10mm bolts. ;)
