Ohh man time is flying... I'm working full time on my Aston but I'm afraid I can't make it in time. And since I didn't finish anything else I can't enter this year...

I even disregarded :rolleyes: my WIP a little bit.. but that didn't help either...

I just entered my Aston! It took forever to finish this one, and I missed all my local contests, so it is cool I can participate in one before the year ends!!:grinyes:

Dennis hasn't finished (slacker!!) and mine is stuck in a museum display and I didn't manage to get any photos of it beforehand :rofl:

It feels a bit embarrassing/audacious to me to enter something that has no chance of winning. I need to think of it more as the 2007 AF model showcase perhaps.

That's exactly the right way to think of it :)

We kept the competition format because it's a good one and a nice way to end the year - but it's all about entering the spirit of the event and not winning first place.

Everyone who enters a build is a winner.

I've entered every year since I joined I believe. The fun for me is to just see my model with all of the others. It's just fun. I know I'm not going to win and don't care. Picking what I think my best build is and sharing it here is what I enjoy.

Imagine how big this could be if everyone just picked one model they finished and thought was their best and entered. It'd be a very big show!

If you built it, it's worthy! No one will hold you over a barrel to enter, but we all strive for our personal best; if you built a model using all your skill, then you've made something as great as any of the modeling gods that come around here - all they can use is all of their skill, too!

A composite is an 800x600 pixel image that is made up of 2 or more other images combined into one - usually done in photoshop or some other image editing software.

Here is an example of the kind of thing from one of my WIPs. Obviously these are just "rough and ready" composites but you can use a little more artistic energy with yours :)

thank you klutz! I was wondering how i was going to fit body work and engine work into one photo! now I just have to figure out how to do a composite on my photo editing system!

I personally think there shouldn't be any composite pictures in the next years one. As it really isn't just one photo! I'll let it slide this year.

i entered my R32, i just took a picture of the car with the bonnet off to show the engine,i was going to enter my celica, but i didnt think id finish in time,so i picked my 32, and 2 days after i entered, i finished the celica :D
im dieing to see the entrants!this year is going to set the benchmark for AFMOTY i feel.
