If you prove to the dealer that you are the owner they should give you the code. That is the only way I know.

After some time on the phone with the dealer, my 2003 honda has a sticker with the 5 digit code in the car. Mine happens to be on the glove box - if I open the glove box, it is on the outside of left side. It first lists the 5 digit code and then the serial # which is about 8 digits.

I have heard that manufacturer sometimes places stickers with codes inside the glove box. Look there first. If it is not there look at the post #2.
Good luck,
Sam

I have copied the following from one of the forums:
This may not work with all radios but does for my 2004 Honda Odyssey with
RES. To find the serial number without removing the stereo. Turn on the key,
make sure the radio is off. Hold down the #1 and #6 preset buttons and turn
on the radio. It will then show the radio's serial number on the display.
This only works if the radio is locked out, you cannot find the serial
number that way if the radio is working properly.
I hope this helps,
Sam
