This summer I'm thinking about selling both of my cars and getting a 2002 Trans Am Ws6...What do you guys think, should I go for it? Also, if I do decide to do that, if anyone is interested in either of the cars, just let me know. I have a highly modded 1995 Camaro Z28, and a mostly stock 1996 Camaro Z28. I have tons of pics and info on both. If you want times and power/torque ratings, I'll have all of that on both cars no later than March 8, as I'll be going to the track and dyno numerous times over my spring break. Anyways, what do you guys think, sound like a good plan? Or any recomendations on something else I should get this summer? Nothing more than about $30k or so, and something relatively new.

you wouldn't really need to sell both for a 93 Toyota Supra TT ... if they generate a large amount of revenue i'd try to get the newest supra i could find.

I like the idea of a WS6 i think you should go for it!

They are one powerful vehicle but they ride like a brick. If you want unrefined power - you can't make a better choice.

See, what are the last three words of my post?? "SOMETHING RELATIVELY NEW". I don't want a car that old. I'm not going to sell two never cars to get something old. That's asking for problems.

To be honest with you I'd wait for the new stangs to come out, but I'm a ford guy. Otherwise I'd keep the Z28, don't get me wrong I love supra's, but who here besides me thinks those things are complete agony to work on?

(finally selling that sled self? ;)

Not into waiting two more years or else I would consider it. Maybe around that time I'll be able to buy one of those AS WELL. But I'm really going to try and pick up a car this summer. And YES, Supra's are a headache and a half to do anything too. And YES, I'm finally selling "that sled" :D
And plus, I can't afford a 1998 Supra, and even if I could, I want something NEW. A '98 is five years old, hardly new. I want something 2001, 2002, 2003ish. Something NEW.

2k4 Grand Prix GTP: 260 HP, 280 ft-lbs torque

Stratus R/T (coupe): 200 HP V6 with 5 speed tranny. Kinda the unexpected runner.

I need more help on what you're looking for here. I have brochures coming out of my ass on all the "new" models for 2k3. Do you want domestic? I'm guessing a powerful V6. Do you want passenger capacity??? Help a sister out. :p

Other than it having to be new and <$30K, is there any other pieces of criteria? You seem to favour the Camaro/Firebird look and you you pretty ste on it, so I'd say stick with the plan to get a WS6.

How much do 35th Anniveraries run for?

That R33 GTS on motorRex is weak. Automatic non-turbo.

Besides MotoRex is the gay they overcharge for doing nothing. And its 1995

WS6 is baddass. I'd hit it.

Oh and a WS6 can be "tuned" easier than a Supra. Supras a nicer car IMHO but the WS6 requires less maitence, is newer, and is prob. cheaper to run.

Supra's are nice cars, but FAR overrated by too many people that know nothing about them or other cars...

Right now I want the Ws6 the most...But only because I haven't found anything else in that price range, with that power, and that I like the looks of that much.
To Saturn: I'm a sports car guy. Doesn't have to be domestic, don't really care, just has to be a two door sports car that can RUN, or be made to run. So yea, that's really my only criteria...New, sports carish, preferrably targa/ttop(NO CONVERTs), potential to be pretty quick, not a PITA to maintain...That's really it, I think.

And yea Supra's are nice and all, but not as great/perfect as everyone wants to believe they are. Just another car, nothing magical there.

Yeah, they're definately sporty, and definately sexy as hell.

I have a poster with the 2k4 Grand Prix GTP and the new GTO on my wall and it's FUN to drool at it for hours on end. ;)

I was thinking about the Vette idea, not sure though. Really really wanted a NEW car. And plus we already have a Vette in the family, my dad has a C5:D I'm still not sure though, not quite to the point where I HAVE to make a decision yet. And the '95 is pretty much as far as it's going to get modwise, without me dropping $5k+ into it. Something I'm DEFINITELY not doing. Anything more than where it is will be on the verge of making it a track-only car:)

I would also recommend a 2000 or so Vette Coupe, but since you want something new, and you already have a C5 in the family, I say either go for a Vette or WS6 anyways, or check out a 350Z or G35 Coupe.

WTF? Only car worth buying from GM is Camaro/Firebird! And the Stratus is a 3g Eclipse. Slow! Go Ws6! I've tried to buy one twice but I get screwed out of them. One time the guy sold it an hour before I got there cus a Dady bought it for his girl and payed 2k more than I would cus she wanted it. The other I was jsut to late to reply to the add. Go ws6

Yea, I'm definitely loving the G35 Coupe. Nissan 350Z is also nice...I was thinking about the Evo, but I personally don't think they look all that great. Just so you know, the intercooler on the Peon (neon) SRT is visibly larger than the EVO intercooler. :o I was kinda disappointed.

I'd say "Go Nissan or Infiniti" not so much b/c of the fact that I'm biased, but even former AFer "Ric" loves the new G35 coupe and 350z. He's right... Nissan is ahead of its time with those two.

If you aren't partial to domestics, then I'd also tell you to take a look at a VDub Golf 1.8T. I can assure that it will MOVE. ;) Audi would be fun, too.

IMHO, MOST of GM rather sucks. Mopar is even more of a joke, but I was trying to make the best of the Domestics that I have brochures on. ;)

Without getting into a major debate, anything with a variation of the LS1 V8 underhood has a good thing going for it, no matter how much you don't care for the body style, ergonomics, or overall build quality. And in terms of price for performance, I'd take one over anything produced by VW/Audi.

Disagree, most of them serve the purpose they're made to serve just fine. All of you can say that they break down so often and such, but I can most assuredly tell you that is NOT true. Maybe not the most bulletproof vehicles in the world, but they'll certainly get the job done with minimal problems if you just take care of them.

I was thinking about the Mercedes Benz C230 Coupe actually. It's a supercharged I4 producing 200hp. There is a pulley kit out to bring it to 230hp, and a supercharger swap being released soon that is estimated to push 260hp. That would be FUN. And plus it's a Mercedes so that's a great thing:D But then I was thinking again about already having one in the family. Not a C230 exactly, but my parents have TWO Mercedes' already:( So I'm not sure, but that's another one I was looking in to, and still am.

Ughh. We ran a pic of it in the paper today. The door handles are completely in the wrong place. Too low on the door and it looks Saturn-ish because of the half-door. The haunches are all off, too. A lot of the lines just don't seem to match up. It had some good bits and some really, really, bad bits.

Nissan did a much better job at keeping the new Z a lot closer to the concept vehicle.
