knock sensor wire '98 tahoe 5.7L 2door 4x4

Anyone know where the knock sensor wire goes too? I found my knock sensor wire burnt off about four inches from the knock sensor, and can not find where it burnt off from. I tried using the schematics, but I cant find that damn wire, or where it goes so I can run one.

without seeing a diagram this is a general answer, but at some point it goes into a wire harness(loom) and goes to the PCM. assuming some of the wire is still sticking out of the harness, just splice into that with the connector and should be set. try to use as close to same gauge wire.

i have the wire from the knock sensor, just cant find the other end. thus i cant find which wiring harness it goes to.

Looking in my '98 manual. The wire is supposed to be Dark Blue and goes to connector C2 pin #19 on the VCM. I was not able to find which harness or the routing of the wire. May have to locate it at the VCM and trace it back from there. The circuit # is 496.

there should be a harness somewhere near the sensor that the wire came out of, may be easier to trace from the PCM as 777 suggests if you can't find it in the harness.
