I have water in the passen. side of my 2000 Alero. It was raining one night when it got warmer and next morning the Pass Matt was hell wet. I also had to replace the blower/heater motor underneath the dash passen. side and found ice in the blower..I'm assuming it's the same water that ends up going to the pass side. Any Ideas?PLease Help
-Also I've had the lights(Trac, Service Vehicle soon, ABS) for a while..I have a Snap-On Diagnostics Scanner for older cars up to '99. Would that tell me what it is?

Remove your windshield wipers, then remove the black plastic cowl piece (there are 3 or 4 plastic buttons that hold it on). On the passenger side you will see the intake for the blower. Look at all the seams around it, and in the trough its in. Also, a foam seal will come off with your cowl, check it's position and condition as well. Use silicone to seal up every gap you find.
You could try the scanner...post what codes you get here. ABS/Trac can be caused by low brake fluid, a bad wheel speed sensor, corroded connector at the hub, bad hub, broken wiring between hub and computer, maybe a few other things, but those are common causes.

I would also check your HVAC drain, under the hood pass side/middle area. Black hose about 4" long elbow. If this is clogged any water that goes into the blower box wont drian and will leak on the floor.
Thiers also a couple TSBs about that foam strip Iflylow mentioned, not sure on the # of that Tsb. :2cents:

TSB 01-08-57-003 issused 9-2001 describes how to check the foam strip and replace it if needed.
