Question 4 The Honda Techs?

i recently rebuilt my engine, and i tried to start the engine, and the engine turns over, but there is no spark at all. i have taken the dizzy and tested it on a different car, and it worked fine. what are the next steps i should take to correct this problem??

this is a stupid question but did ya make sure the GROUNDS to the head and to the tranny are ON tite?? and what about the ECU? maybe some of the CARS wiring is F'd up?? check all eletrical connections between ECU and distro

Test igntion coil, ignitor, and igntion switch. If any test bad, replace. Try checking to make sure all wires are plugged in correctlly and that the ecu works properly.

what ground do you mean? (the one on the valve cover), Test igntion coil, ignitor, and igntion switch were all tested, and they work fine. wouldnt the ecu flash is the wire were hooked up wrong??

The ecu would read a signal from the igntior and that is what would throw a code 15, igntion output signal. The igntor still thinks the igntion coil works and the ecu wouldn't know so no code. What tests didi you do? What does it sound like when you turn the key. Check the main relay.

i swapped all of those parts to a diff civic, and they worked fine. is the main relay in the fuse box?

No, it is under the dashboard on the drivers side all the way down. I will see if a i can find a picture of its location.

how would i check the main relay?

if the main relay was not working would the dash light up? if not what else wouldnt work if the main relay was broken?
