1990 xj tumbler

it is apparent the ignition switch is separating to some degree, the acceceries are not working after starting, turn the key forward an 1/8th inch or so and the accesories come on, my question is:

how hard is it to change out the ignition switch??

please forgive my premature elaboration!!!! i found on this sight all the info i need, i did not look before i wrote. great job on this board guys!!

turns out the key portion was fine, the culprit was the electrical part, down on the steering column. wasnt to hard to replace, would have been easier if i didnt have to kneel in the snow the whole time.
