Hi,

my 2001 Altima has minor air gaps in the windows. Can I fix it myself?

Thanks...

What kind of gaps? Be a little more specific please.

When I drive at high speed, I hear the noise of air coming from some very very small gaps from the windows. I feel the cold air if I put my hand near the palces from where the noise is coming. So I am assuming that there is some air gaps.

I hope this helps...

Yeah, it helps but does your window go all the way up? Your car has a track that the window has to stay on. I don't know why it would do that.

Put the window all the way down, and look at the rubber trim. See if it is ripped or if it is not a a decent line. For example, there aren't any dents or bumps in there:2cents:

Hey...Thanks for the suggestion. I will check the trim. What should I do, if they are broken? Can I change it myself?

Just go to the nissan dealership and ask to buy the window trim for the specific window. Its easy, I'm going to home and look at my car and I will let you know the steps.

You just have to take the door panel out and then the rubber will lift off. Then you put in the new one, when the window goes up it will stretch the new trim into place.
