Contour SVT speaker size?

Does anyone know what size speakers go in a SVT contour. Some shmuck at Micky Shorre told me 5x7 and after I bought them I saw that they take 6x8. Does anyone know for sure????

Hey I appreciate the link, thanks. Do you know, for the 5x7 speakers, if there is any modifications that are required? Like extra drilling or what not. I have never installed speakers before and am trying to figure out if it would be easy for me to install or pay $80 to have it professionally done. It took me an hour to try to get the door panel off but found out that 2 screws are in the door handle.

The stock size is 5x7, so no. 6x8 should fit without any problems. No cutting should be required. You'll probably just have to change your screw location since speaker brands can vary.

The FAQ could have helped you to remove your door panels too. ;)
