I actually have this car in 1:1 and had been looking for months to see if i can find the Tamiya kit for this, and i FINALLY found one and built it. Everything was good, and i started doing the windows. The window masks are kicking my ass, and but the window trims are beginning to get a LITTLE better...
I've tried every tutorial on this site in painting the black around the windows, but i dont know why my masking job never turns out to look like you experts. Any advice here? I've tried so hard (although still a bit of orange peel) to make this look right, and then i screw it up on the windows :frown: THEN, i try to put the windows into the car, and the front side window snaps, cracking the windshield...and thus i had to put the wiper blades up to TRY to cover it....and since the front window was snapped, i TRIED to make it look like the windows are semi down...but I am just very dissapointed in the results after spending so much time on it...if there's any advice from you guys for future windows, please advise...as i think that is where my biggest problem is...
anyway, here's the pics. The top 2 are the 1:1 version and the bottom are my screwed up pics :( i am so dissapointed right now...
Thanks for looking...

Yourt effort is nice. A couple of things I would liek to point out: The paint looks very matt. Did you polish it? Did put clear coat on? Secondly, the ride height is odd. As your real car shows, the car sits a little lower than you built it. Also - you can add a small black painting on the sides of the head and rear light, which will duplicate that rubber you see on the actual car.
The last - that has nothing to do with your modelling is the picture. Try to make outside or better leighted pictures - This will give your efforts and your model the right appearance.
Nevertheless...keep it up. What will be next?
