Hello again fellows, Im developing a new problem. Ive got a 94 GP 3100 120K miles
It is real intermitent, and seems to be effected by the cold weather, as I dont think it did it all summer, but definately did last winter. Yet it did it today pretty bad in 35degrees, but not at all a couple weeks ago in the single digits.
Sometimes when first putting it in gear it seems like it only goes half way. The motor revs and the car only drifts in Drive or Reverse. Eventually after going back and forth a couple times and taking it in and out of park, it catches (feels like a neutral drop) and runs fine. Then might not do it again for another week.
I did just drop the trans pan and change the filter and fluid as regular maintinance. The fluid is and was a good color, and doesnt leak so should still be correctly filled.
Lately I'm not the only one depending on this car and it really freaked my mom out today. So if anybody could point me in the right direction of what may be going wrong here, or even some advise on how to guarantee to get it in gear if it is giving troubles would also be great.
Thanks and happy new year
Andy

It could be that parts are breaking in the transmission and clogging up your trans fluid filter after driving it causing it to act funny. Definately does not sound TCU related though. I would have it taken in for diagnostics at a trusted transmission shop.
