Denali shuts down without warning !

Hello Folks

I am wondering if anyone has experienced this problem. My 03 Denali with no rime or reason just shuts down with no warning. It happens at various speeds slow or in normal city traffic. All i have done is put it in park and the engine starts normally. It's going to the mechanic but i would like to know if anyone had this problem and what solved it.

First step is to check both ends of both battery cables for loose or dirty connections.

But tried that, infact installed a new battery etc. The truck starts normal put it in drive and will just turn off while driving. I am wondering if it might be a senor ?

Might want to have a scanner hooked up to it when the problem occurs so you can see what it going on.

Any codes stored?

They are hooking up the scanner on Monday. Hoping it is something simple. But I wonder is this a regular problem on the Denali. Also i forgot to mention that pervious to this problem the oil pressure, temp, spedometer etc would freeze that is the engine would turn on but none of the gauges would move even while driving. For a moment this was funny but not laughing now.
