Hey all;
As some of you know I'm the Webmaster for Budweiser in the Chicago area. It's actually the company I work for called River North Sales & Service. We're the greater Chicagoland Budweiser distributor. Long story short, we had a website that I took over that had its ups and downs, but we couldn't do what we wanted with it. Had too many things going on, like engines that were pointless for the site. So I decided to remake the whole thing. My deadline is January 1, where I want the website to go up on that day. So far, it's all good. But I just need you guys to go to it and click through and make sure stuff works.

The old site is at Here (www.budchicago.com)
The new one will be there, obviously, but for now is at
www.davidbonolo.com

Everything is not done yet. Still have more stylizing to do (css) and some database work. The site is done in php, mySQL, xhtml, and css. There's also some flash in it. Don't send any emails anywhere though. Signup for the newsletter, but don't send anything else.

EDIT: Oh, and if you're using IE and you're in news/events or the products sections and nothing shows up, refresh it and it should show up. If not, press control+a to select all and it magically shows up. Working on that. Also, retailer resources links don't work as there's nothing there right now.

If you want to, reply with what browser you were using, OS, and any issues, likes/dislikes. I'm not advertising the site obviously, just trying to get it tested.

Ohhhh......................................

I soooooo want a beer right now...

Seriously... I think I will have to go party tonight now. lol

The site looked good man. I just gave it a quick run through and didn't notice any major flaws/errors.

Hmm, seems like when you click on the scrolling banner of diffferent products, it starts going faster? :screwy: :dunno:

No complaints here

River North, is that the one off the Kennedy that used to have the cool old Bud sign?

What browser are you using? Are you talking the front page with the products in the middle?

Off the Kennedy? Uh kinda... Off the Dan Ryan, just West of downtown Chicago on Lake Street. I don't know if we used to have a sign. Rather new here.

IE, yes the scrolling product line in the middle.

Nah,l that's not it, when you go up the Kennedy (90N) you pass the Morton Salt factory, and about 3/4 mile or so north around Diversy I think there used to be a huge Budweiser neon sign, always found it hypnotic. :icon16: other wise sounds like you're not far from me, I'm at Rush.

I can't get it to go it in any other IE on any computer. Just tried 6 different computers. It scrolls faster as you go further to the edges and stops in the middle. Not sure what the deal is there.

Oh I know where you're talking. Ya we got a big-ass billboard there with all the flashing lights and everything. Still there. Got a ton of accounts right around there too. Our territory goes up to Irving Park Road.

Ahh, that makes sense, I think that's what I did (further from center it went faster, or seemed to. Looks nice anyway.

I think that signs been changed tho in recent years, being from Chicago I don't believe in expressways much, except for late nights when they live up to their usefullness, or weather like today when no matter what you're on, everything is crawl. But, last time I went by I noticed it's been "updated" :(
Old Irving Park was my 'stomping ground' Irving & Pulaski

Ya I didn't drive on the Ryan/Kennedy at all until pretty recently. So I don't know what it used to be. I'm Southsider (Midway) so I'm used to i55. Would hate to be on there today in this snow.

Used to be in Cicero. You can use Archer or Ogden (has those nice old bus lanes to dive into and dodge through traffic. :2cents:

oops, I think you hijacked your own thread :lol2:

I basically live on Archer. And about 4 block away from 55. Ogden is ok. Honestly 55 is quicker than Archer. You still sit, but it's quicker.

And it's not like anyone else is going to post anything here.

True, that's about where they just finished up the lane expansions to 55.

So you're right up by Archer Heights, my wife and I used to go to Guide's bar across from the UPS depot on Archer, and had everyone hanging out of the t-tops of a Camaro the last few times the Bulls took down the series, good times. We were actually just talking about going to Guide's soon to see if anythings changed, people there were great. Hadnt' really been over there since Cowboy Ray was hit and killed on Archer leaveing the club down the street who's name eludes me at the moment. :banghead:

Ya I remember that. I never been to Guide's, but it's close by. Doesn't seem like much goes on around here anymore. Maybe it's just because i'm up north more often now. Oh well. Speaking of home, time for me to go there. Now to fight with the snow on public trans :runaround: :runaround: :runaround:
