Crazy light problems..

So basically most of the lights in my truck don't work, right. Its a 99' sonoma/s10. I've still yet to figure out what the problem is. So it starts off with i didn't think my brake lights work (but the one above the cab does work) I thought it was the fuse but it turned out it was working all along. But just extremely dimly. I had to take off the brake lens to see the bulbs were very very slightly lighting up when the brake pedal is pushed. But this only happened when the truck was OFF. Then you turn the truck on and it doesn't even work at all. But the one brake light above the cab still works.

Another problem i have is the digital dash lights don't turn on when the car is running. (milage and park reverse drive ect.) But the gauges do light up. I can get the digital lights to turn on while the truck is running if i hold the key forward a little more like i'm about to start it again. It recognizes what gear the transmission is in but it just doesn't show up when the key is in the running position. Another weird thing is when the truck is off and the brake pedal is pushed my parking lights also come on very faintly. My turn signals do work though. It's like all the lights do work but just not when they're suppose to.:banghead: Also my headlights don't turn off either but that could just be a normal thing for the truck? I just got the truck a while ago and im starting to put it back together and the lights are the one problem i'm having. Any help or suggestion i would greatly appreciate.

Rule no 1 with crazy lights make sure all grounds and bulbs are good.
If moving the ign a little brings them in or on check the ign switch or adjustment.
