I finished the R8, so I can start a new kit.
It will be the Tamiya Golf 4, the model is the 5-door model and I will convert it to 3-door.
This is how the model is right now:

http://i8.tinypic.com/7ygtt8n.jpg
I also made some blueprints and printed them in scale to get the exact shapes:

I've been working on the Golf.
I've done the otherside, I only have to make the panel lines on the that side.
I also maged to modify the interior to the 3-door model.
I sanded the old mouldings off and carved new in it.
The seats are also modified to lean more to the back.
Here are the pictures:

Never seen so many WIP about volkswagen kits at the same time on AF
Good job on the conversion, I'm sure it will look perfect once finished. I do like what you build, we have the same idea of style :sunglasse

Are you planning on debadging the grill on your kit? You should, I think the car would look even cleaner!

I don't know yet.
I probably will, just have to think how I can do it the easiest way.

Like this, i used two thin strips of styrene. Paint it that light silver, with black wheels. That will look sick!!

I think I will go for number 5 or something similar.
I already had this spraycan:
http://i11.tinypic.com/81ssn05.jpg
http://i2.tinypic.com/8ev02s5.jpg
I might spray a little PS-47 on top of it.
Will look very good this way I think.

Exactly what i was thinking, i was going to use those wheels for my r32. How much did you pay for them and where did you grab them from? Also are they really thin? (resin) Keep the updates comin, don't stop.

I couldn't really tell what you did to make it 3 door from the five. Other than shaving the door lines and handles, did you move the B pillar or shorten the wheel base?
I only ask because I drive a 3dr Mk4 GTI in real life, and want to eventually make this conversion for myself. :) Thanks!
Also, it looks awesome.
