I accidently broke my ignition key into my Pymouth Reliant (1988). The locksmith couldn't get it out and the dealership wants over $200 for parts and labor! I just really need to get the broken half of the key out of the ignition. I know this is weird, but I'm running out of options! If you think you might have any advice for me, please email me at [email protected], as I am not very familiar with these message board things.
Thank you!
Jess

Let me ask you, does the car have an airbag? If yes, then $200 sounds about right. If there is no airbag you can fix it yourself. You just need to replace the ignotion switch. You can buy them at Checker and they are easy to change. If it does have an airbag you won't be able to do it yourself and you'll have to take it to the dealership.

Try some Crazy Glue on the other half of the key, hold until set, and then wiggle/tug the other half of key out of the ignition!! :smoker2:
