New engine....where to get?

Sup guys,

First off I am new to this site, and want to say, this site is extremely helpful.

I recently blew my motor by throwing a rod, and the whole engine is just screwed.
So I have been looking into getting a new engine, do you guys know where I could get a decent engine for a very good price for my GS?

I would not mind either the same engine (2.0 DOHC) or the GST engine.

Which by the way, will I have problems if I am going to swap the GS engine for a GST engine? Would everything bolt up ok?

And also, can someone list the engine sizes and the engine code (i.e H22A, B16A, etc.)

Thanks!

get a built 4g63 (the turbo motor) with a matching trans...

since you need a new motor, you might as well get a built one, or a jdm motor from an evo or somethin...

there are multiple shops that should be able to get you one, buschur comes to mind...

www.buschurracing.com i believe...

i was just on their site, and buschur has a forum as well, so you could prolly find an engine there, from someone who has upgraded, or has their old motor around... not a bad forum

You CANT swap a GST engine (4G63) into your GS (420A). Different engine, and very expensive to swap it. It would cost less just to turbo the 420A.
http://car-part.com/ Check there for an engine.

swapping a 4g63 and trans into the non-turbo car...
how is that expensive?

same car has had both motors... it can't be that tough...

if you need a new motor anyways...

different engine, mounts, ecu, wiring, cooling, sensors, clutch system. You name it, its different. The 4G63 swap youe looking at 3K+. A built 420A is plenty good to though so don't worry about it.

i went to car-parts.com and cannot really find a good enough rebuilt motor i even emailed a rep. from one of the sites and he told me that what i was looking for had already been sold but i emailed him back with more specific specs of my car and hopefully he will let me know if he has found anything. in the meantime do you guys know antwhere else in the Dallas Metroplex that sells rebuilt engines?
