Lowering an old civic

Hey everyone, I thought it would be funny to lower my old 1971 Honda civic hatchback and I was wondering how to go about doing it. If anyone could help that would be great! Also, I am kind of a cheapskate so I would like my options to be cheap.

I didn't know they made a civic in 1971

LOL, well I got one. It is probably like some test civic before they came out with the civic as we know it.

a really big, heavy, stereo system would weight it down ... or maybe a fat girl or 2 ..... ;-) LOL

sorry, I'm just teasing you .... actually there are no lowering springs produced for your car. There are some spring perch sleeves available from ground control that might work for you .... check into a set of them

Ok, its a 81 not 71. I was really confused at first.

Oh hey ya! thanks luke. I think I might do that with the girls... is it improper to ask relatives to be ballasts? I don't know I have neve done this (lol) ! But ya I might check those springs out.

BTW, I have a blown out 12" sub in the rear left to balance out the quirky tilt to the right in my car. It works great but the sound quality is lacking.
