Mclaren F1 Kit Questions

Ok,
it doesn't seem like many here have seen the kit, let alone built one but recently I've been getting urges to get myself one. Thing is, I have no idea what they look like out of the box and not even sure which ones are the good/better ones.
From what I can tell, the Profile24 and the Studio 27 are the most readily available kits. I know that all F1 kits are curbside and that a lot of work is going to be needed under the body but my real question is:
What are the bodies like on these kits with regards to detail, panel line depths, casting, proportions etc.
What is the McLaren F1 kit to get?
In case it makes a difference I'm looking for a regular Short body kit.
Cheers.

Hey DM, I am curious too, I had done some research here and thought the general consensus was the Studio 27 kit. There was a lot of talk about the Profil24 one being one of thier first kits and had some problems. I see that Stradasports has the Profil24 super high detailed kit which looks like it has an engine but can't seem to find any pictures of it. Looking forward to seeing some more responses here so we can all make an educated decision.

I have both the Studio27 and Profil24 kits.
Of the two, the Studio27 one is the clear leader in quality.
I got the Profil24 kit first and started working on trying to make the resin lump into something workable and remotely representative of the car.
For a start, the kit is not symmetrical. The wheels are some semi-round resin lumps with useless excuses for tires.
The number of bubbles in the kit makes it a project in itself to fill all the bubbles in the resin.
The Studio27 kit comes with both resin and white metal parts, the wheels are cast white metal and very clean and usable and the overall molding is clean and crisp. Very little real cleanup is required.
Had I purchased the St27 kit first, I would probably never have spent the money on the Profil24 kit.
Oh, and it's a short tail ;) the 'long tail' is the GTR and the short tail the GT.

I'm going to be a pain and ask if you can take some photos of them if you can, when you can.....
I'm thinking I can remodel a BMW V12 to fit into the back but from what I can tell, neither kit has much work when it comes to the exhaust parts, especially the silencers so it'd be good to know what's in the back.

Ray you forgot the lights, turn lights, clear parts... they are all....lumps.
Take S27, don't even think twice or wait for full detail Profil 24 one that should have been released few months ago but it is delayed. And then you will have all details but again most probably all the flaws mentioned above.
