Jetta vs GTI

Well I was wondering if there is any difference in the engines of the either the 1.8t or vr6 in the jetta from the gti.

if so or not doesnt matter, are they both just as easy to mod.

the engine is a seperate thing from the car so yes the 1.8t in the jetta is the same as the 1.8t in the golf and gti. but the vr6 that we have now is different from the older vr6 (a3 era) because it has 12 more valves. they used to say glx vr6 on the backs of cars glx is car trim vr6 is actual engine.

the vr6 you're talking about is the 24v in the jetta GLi > 204hp 6 spd

the old one in the glx was the vr6 12v > 174-180hp 5 spd

hate to burst your bubble but the 24valve vr6 has 201 hp and not 204. :bigthumb:

by the way guys and gals that jetta in f&F is a 4 cylinder!
look at the bolt patterns if it would be a vr6 it would have 5 bolts on a wheel but it is a 4 cylinder so it has 4 bolts on a rim.

hi, in my opinion the car looks over the top. I suppose jettas are really popular in the usa? Over here alot of people take the pi*s for driving them. I think thay can be done nice though.
