Just for those with some cuiosity.

Here i found a pic from a SEAT 1500 built in the sixties.
It was used alot as a taxi cab and generally speaking it could be the spanish version of a checker cab. Used still in the late 80's.

1500 finished his life as taxi in the early 80.

Now all SEAT taxis are Toledo, Leon, Alhambra, Altea or Cordoba

When you say "We" you are talking about myself aswell 'cause I live in Spain and I'm Spanish. I know the lifetime of the 1500.
You are right, early 80's not late 80's. 1982 was the last time I saw one which took me to the airport when I moved from Madrid to Barcelona.
Now I'm living in Tenerife. "Que suerte vivir aqui".
