Header Transfer?

Will DC Sports headers work on different blocks. Specifically would the model for a D15 work on a B18, or whatever is in a 91 CRX? I realize that it's not optimal, but will it at least work without causing more harm than good? I would hate to buy headers, have my car die, then waste them by not being able to put them to good use.

no d series headers go on d series engines. and the same with b series engines. its like comparing apples to oranges

OK... So would headers made (by DC Sports) for a B16 fit on a B18, or is that like comparing Red Delicious apples to Grany Smiths?:licker:

i dont believe thats directly transferable either. but if youre worried about your engine crappin out on you, wait to get a header till after you get a new motor.

I have heard that they won't fit cuz the block is slighty longer and the headers won't clear the oil pan. Try and find someone who has done a swap from a b16 to b18. But 4drlx is right D series stays with D and B series stays with B.

You acuatually can transfer between a b16 and b18. I would know as I did it when I blew my b16a and got a b18c. The downpipe is the only difference, it has a little different of a cureve. It will clear the oil pan but will be a little close to it. And remember if this is a motor swap you have done that you are talking about, then the down pipe is gonna be a little lower than stock so be careful. I had a friend bottom out on his downpipe and it sheared off all the header bolts into his block.
