old threads

have any of you guys ever gone through some of the early threads here? maybe not in OT, but in your favorite car forum?

yes. for some reason the mods close all the old ones here when they are brought back

This subject has been discussed before...The AF archives exist principally to store information from the TECHNICAL forums.Most of the OT forum content gets stale very quickly.If you see a topic that interests you in the OT archives,it's better to start a NEW version of the thread than to bring up a whole heap of irrelevant posts from folk who are no longer active on AF.

I always read the archives- they are there to remind me of when OT had better times :(

I had a bad habit of bringin' em' back here on OT when I was new. I always thought it saved bandwitdh, but whatever they want.:jump:

It just seems that a thread that was meaningless and irrelevant at the time of its creation would just be....EXTREMELY meaningless and irrelevant when dragged up from the grave three months later. I also say just start a new version of the thread if you must:)
