Good lesser known movies...

Hey all,
There is a thread for good movies, how about the good lesser known movies... My roommate works at blockbuster... gotta find out good movies for him to rent for me...
Heres a few:
UHF - Wierd movie with Wierd Al... lots of funny little skits and stuff...
Session 9 - Crazy kinda scary movie about guys cleaning asbestos out of an old insane asylum... it gets nuts
I know there are more... just cant think right now...

yo grendel i saw Session 9...............it was gay as hell...............the only freaky part in the whole movie was the guy wit the split personalities who like changed his voice and shit..........

Yea tremors was good but the best is about this guy that is making his own movie named Coven, all though i still havent seen Coven i saw the documentry about the redneck trailer trash that madde it, i think the name of it was The American Dream or something liek that, it is funny and sad at the same time!

eXistenZ....lotsa people ragged it as a cheap Matrix rip...I quite enjoyed it.
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels - not sure how well known it is around the world, not too well known over here. Brilliant movie.
O - modern retelling of Othello. Enjoyed it.
All I can think of right now..

I thought it was pretty good... that old guy was pretty convincing as a psycho...
It was pretty insane when the old man pulled the pick out that guys eye... :p

My roommate just brought home another good one...
Its called Formula 51 with Samuel L Jackson
He plays a chemist who supposedly makes some new drug and it gets all crazy when hes trying to find a buyer... Not a great movie, but its fun to watch...

Requiem for a Dream - this movie should be required for teens at risk of doing drugs ;)
Pi - just plain trippy
Artisan usually makes decent films, except Blair Witch Project, but nobodys perfect
Oh and for Matrix ripoffs..... see Equilibrium, came out a few months ago, it sucks because the plot has too many loopholes (im a nitpicker) but the fighting seens are soooo complex, i think theyre better than those of the Matrix.

It's one of the more well known lesser well known movies, but you guys definitely need to see Memento. This is such a creative movie with excellent cinematography and story line.

If you liked Snatch, you'll love this movie, it's one of my favourites :D
