wiring me up a new gauge that calls for an ignition 12v source and I was just wandering the best place for that please be specific

your fuse box... there are like 3 empty spots to hook up things of the sort.. i know my radio was hooked up like that for sume reason... but i fixed it right.,.. just break out the volt meter and find out which ones are active when...

Your Ignition harness is the best spot. There is a huge white and black wire there with 12v, just tap into that.

lol thats like a bootleg job my step-dad did on the car i drive he hooked the 2 speakers in the trunk (well not that hatches have a trunk) to the tail lights

:confused: WHAT???????? how does that work? speakers don't need power, they need the feed from the radio...well its sort of power, but the brake lights have no sounds. :confused:

why not rn the power to the battery and then ground it on the chasis.....

Use the fuse box...its close and probaly the best source of power...

You know the rear speaker wires do come out from around the taillights so he probably tapped into the wires already there.

The big white wire under there is a constant 12v i belive.
I think the yellow one is a switched 12v. I'm pretty sure i hooked mine to the yellow one.
