Summary......White House tries to link Osama and Saddam, fails miserably.
Can anybody give me some worthwhile, concrete evidence that Saddam is anything more dangerous than a tinpot dictator in the mould of Idi Amin?I can't see any reason to attack a secular socialist country in the name of 'anti-terrorism',other than a huge puddle of oil and a strategic foothold in the Middle East.

to answer your questions:
1. No, they cant, because they cant provide evidence that they do not have.
2. It seems the US is trying to make Imperialism taboo again:rolleyes:

LOL!!!! It is clear he wants nothing more than to be just like Bush- his foriegn policy revolves around how much American dick fits in his mouth:rolleyes: sorry for being crass- but it is nothing short of the truth.
It is well known that Saddam Hussein is hated by Osama Bin Laden- since he runs a secular society- which aren't compatible with his extreme religious views. also it is known that Saddam despises Islamic religion

there is no link between Osama and Sadamn as proven by the resent airing of the tape of Osama;s voice. He disagrees with Socialism and Sadam's regime but he tells the Islamics to stand with their country and tells them how to fight americans.
In other words that really isn't a reason to start a war with Iraq

I always thought that it was made known that the link is only suspected and evidence is being searched for. The only link of course is bin laden telling the Iraqis to "fight like an Afgan". (snicker). (Ahem) So anyhow.....I think that it is only something they are searching for. If there is a link then we will find it, if not then so be it. But I believe that everything comes out in the wash. We can only wait and see.

I just watched the anti war rally on CNN. Anti war rally my ass, if anything there prevoking the united states of america. That rally was a complete bashing of our country and everything we stand for. B/F I saw the rally I agreed with it completely, I don't believe in war. Now after seeing the rally it should have never taken place. This war isint about US power or oil ect. It would be about not taking anymore shit from a country that is constantly threatning ours, with chemical, nuclear, ect. warfare. Still I, as I'm shure the rest of the US would love to prevent it from happening. News flash- pissing of the american leaders and the rest of the country is not going to help your cause. I'm not in the army or anyone of high status in this country, furthermore I'm not planning on living here my entire life. But honestly do you really want to piss off the USA? Thats what there doing, pissing off a rather powerful country with paranoia= (conspiracy theroy's).

Imagine people "whining" about the worlds only superpower invading a helpless middle eastern nation, simply because they have oil, and after more than a decade of weakening them through devastating sanctions that the US has ensured could not be lifted, they are too weak to repel such an invasion. I'm sure people would "whine" if you shot a homeless man as well, on the grounds that he could have a dirty fork, and may still have enough strength to stab you with it.
DblOvrhedCamron, I assume you have been given a very different spin on those protests than I have been given. From what I have seen, those anti-war protests were largely anti-war, and were in no way provoking the US. There were lots of "Down With USA" signs and the like, but what do you expect, the US is about to invade a sovereign nation, with absolutely NO evidence that they prove a threat. These protests are not attacking your country, but rather the actions of those who control it for their own gains.
Despite what YogsVR4 would have you believe, I'm not anti-American at all, but I despise the US foreign policy of the last 50 years. So do most people in the world, and sadly, they are better informed on it than most Americans, simply because their media will report on it, when yours does not.

How do you know there is no evidence? Bush could be holding evidence, to protect america from further terrorism. Please show me evidence that isint a conspiracy theroy? I think you should watch that broadcast again, and see how the USA is torn down and stomped on like a throw mat verbally. I'm shure the goverment moniters satalite TV and takes everything out that has to do with the US fucking up.
This rally was not an anti war rally it was a bashing of the US. Shoulden't they try to come up with solutions, instead of calling our leaders incompitent and calling the US government and (way of life) unproductive and stupid. A world super power is exactly what the US is. Imagine that "hope for solutions rally" crushing the hopes of a proffesor and his entire class after watching it, as well as really pissing them off. What do you think it did to our leaders? ANTI WAR RALLY my ass!

It's pretty much agreed around the world that Iraq does not pose a threat to his nearest neighbours, let alone the US, and that Iraq has no ties to terrorism in any way. So this leaves us with weapons of mass destruction as a reason to go to war. Unless in the last 5 years, Saddam has been producing more, which there is no evidence he has been, more than 95% of his previous chemical and biological weapons were confirmed destroyed by the first UNSCOM team.
If Bush had evidence, it would be in front of the UN. No one in the UN wants war, but no matter what happens, Bush and Blair are attempting to bribe, blackmail and intimidate other nations into getting on board. They are Turkey $26 billion in total to ask for Nato support, and let the US use their bases for a second invasion of Iraq from the north, where the oil fields are. I just heard on CNN Donald Rumsfeld telling me that the US would protect those oilfields from Saddam, and that all the revenue of that oil would go to helping the Iraqi people.
I don't mean to be so blunt or offensive, I quite like Americans. I have many American friends, but you've got to look past what your media tells you, it's very biased. I know, I get the same US channels, and they are rife with propaganda. I have seen very different angles of reporting on those anti-war demonstrations from CBC(Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and CNN. Some of the CNN stuff made it look anti-American, I will admit that, but that is because of careful spin and selective editing. The CBC stuff looked entirely anit-war to me.
There is no credible reason to attack Iraq, we are told that Iraq could possibly, somehow, someday provide weapons to terrorists, and for this we must invade. The rest of the world is outraged at this.
