is the the plastic or just the rattling on the metal frame of the door?

mine was on the frame because i dont see how the plastic piece can vibrtate cause its fastened down pretty good!...

i just got a buddy to hold the speaker on the door then just get a drill with like a 1/8" piece and drill a hole...then just put an extra screw through there and problem solved, i even had 2 screws in there but the thing still rattled like crazy until i put in 3...

make sure its the metal on metal and not the plastic piece

i dont have a clue what ur tlking bout. frame? im pretty sure its the plastic cause i already stuck sum two sided take on the tweeter part of the spaker to get it from hitting the grill directly, that helped quite a bit until i give it sum good bass. so im perty sure its the grill.

yea i uh... got the same prob.... but its only the driverside cuz my grill wont go on all the way, i'm just gonna live with it, the bass drowns it out haha :D but i think u should check ur grills to make sure there on 100% and make sure those screws r in it. also check and make sure ur screws holding the actual speaker on havent come loose

i think hes talking about the plastic piece that the stock speakers were in....i had to take mine off and just use the aftermarket speaker itself because it wouldent fit and i need to drill another hole like tbk did cuz its only held on by 2 right now and the fronts rattle like a bitch but the backs are nice and clean sounding...even the bass

take out the factory plastic speaker baffle. Trace it out on a piece of 1/2" MDF. Cut it out and use it instead of the factory plastic baffle. It will allow your speakers to mount deeper and not hit the factory grill.
