The Mako Shark

It's been a long time since I've come here. Heh, learned quite a bit since then. Eh, anyhow, I have a question for all you Vette buffs out there.

I've always loved the Mako Shark. It is my dream car, and no amount of work or money is to much to put into it. As you may have guessed, I would like to build one. So my question is, what does this entail? What parts were used on the Mako? What would I need to purchase, what would I need to fabricate? What year vette should I start with? All that kind of information I need to think about before undertaking this project. I plan to buy a low priced, decent vette with the money from my graduation, and repair, restore, and fabricate, untill I have a closely accurate Mako Shark. The process may be slow and tedious, especially with paying for Tech school, but I think in the end, it will be worth it, even if it takes me till I'm 50. (But it won't. I hope.) Any details you can provide, would be great, and books or referances, or possibly stories of a similar undertaking. Thanks.
