 Welcome to AF!

Any examples of what you're looking for? Some things are available for sale, some are built from scratch...

Well, first of all, we can never express enough how important it is to master the basics before you start modifying.

Are you already comfortable with the basic building routine and minor mods like lowering and swaping out wheels?

Have you heard or seen raw materials such as styrene sheet or epoxy and polyester putty?
Those are common materials for custom work, and many hobby stores, especially train model stores, carry them, or you can mail order, too.
