Yep, I'm a cat owner over here, well the family cats. He was somewhere around 2 years old the vet said he had total kidney failure and there was no way to save him. I sort of upset we didn't take him in sooner since he was really weak for the last while and weighed less than my friend's kitten. Oh well :(

Ya, we're all okay the cat was never really aorund to be seen quite nervous all the time but in the past few weeks he was warming up to me. I took the loss of my old cat much worse, but I was a lot younger.

I know how it feels- I am a cat-man myelf- I grew attached to the family cat a while back- and was gutted back in 1991 when the cat had to be put down :(

Yeah, my friends cat just died because it aparently drank a bunch of antifreeze... We were all pretty bummed about it...

Heard about cats and anti freeze apparently it has some sweet smell. I was once told a story of a cow dying after consuming a gallon of it.
I feel real bad for the other one now, she's in peak condition, and then there are the other ones at my other house, an they are just fine, a little on the heavy side, but fine I'd be utterly devasted if I lost one of them.

Yeah, cat's like to eat the anti-freeze, and basically what happens is that it crystalizes in their liver and kidneys which causes those organs to completely fail.

You have my sympathy, that's a very hard thing to do. We had a kitten die at about 11 months of age, of cancer, a few years ago...it had a large tumor in its stomach and several small ones throughout its body. Very very sad. Luckily its sister is still doing well.

I love cats and ive had around 20, but they seem to keep diapeering, but then i was out side with my last cat when my neighor shot it, barly missing the kidneys and the back bone, the cat was alrite, other than that, and my neighors yard has gone from ahving no cats to being cat city! i guess thats what happends when my dad threatens to take him to court about the last 10 cats and my other neighors cat that ran away and came back with a bullet in its leg, it broke my hart seeing my cat being shot, and i know what you mean and how you feel with your loss:(

I had to take my cat of 18 years into the vet... it was a shame, especially when he escaped out the van window, and ran back and forth on the vets yard for 5 minutes before we could catch him. It was so heartbreaking...
