1% tint!!

So I am thinking of tinting my windows myself, so I was on ebay looking at the kits when I found this

Thats pretty dark. Just make sure its good quality, so it doesnt turn purple in a year.

More power to you if you do tint yourself. That is something I wont do myself.

I tried to do my own tinting...that job sucks....

Doing your own tint is 90% prep work, make sure everything is clean and dry.

good luck if ya try it your self, personally if and when i do it, ill get it done at a shop.

They get purple when you wash your windows from the inside with anything with Amonea in it, like the BLUE Windex, If you use the Green Windex, which doesnt contain Amonea, it will be fine, or just use soap and water......

still contemplating ... I cant be getting the really dark shit or my dad will get pissed, im gonna go with like some 35% or so.

bad quaility tint turns purple too....it fades from the sun, but amonia will turn it purple too i have Solor guard on my rides and its still Black as hell + the dude that does my tint warrenties it for life

Cheap quality tint fades to purple too.

So...my next question...what is the typical % of $7.99/roll stuff you buy at like wal-mart?? I had that on my back window in my 78 Civic to keep the sun from killing my $50 speakers..Unless you compared it to other windows, you almost couldn't tell it was there - lol :rolleyes:

usually the stuff on rolls at walmart is 20%-50% depending on what you get.

i had mine tested during a ticket, came out at 3%.

but if you goto a tint shop im sure someone there will be able to tell ya.

from the pics of ur car there, it looks like 15%

Its a 45 and I just got it from a friend of mine who has a court order prohibiting him from owning any guns, so he gave it to me. Havent shot with it much yet.

No shit thats why the sites are at the top of the gun and not the side. You don't see SWAT teams running around holding their guns gangster style. Maybe you should give the gun to someone before you shoot yourself.

most of the time the purpleing of the tint is because peps use windex. I have done probly 30 cars in the past. Used quality tint and CLEAR dish washing tint I still own one of the cars and the tint is still looking good after 9 years.

alright heres what u do to fix that purple prob -

jus do some ... uh. candy apple... purple ? yea, that color paint job, tri coat metallic finish w/some bling bling rimz , and do the inside matching w/purple, so it wont be a panzy purple, it'd be a pimped out purple.. then after all that , be sure to clean yer insides of windows w/amonia, so everyone will be like , "how u get yer windows to match too !? "

Ya sorry about that, it just bothered me for some reason. I'll be getting two airsoft guns this weekend actually. Some ones that this guy is selling. A SIG P228 and a mini Steyr AUG Aeg :D . Pretty excited about that, my friends and I plan on all getting the mini AEG's and running around the city when its dark out, should be a blast :P.
