Gotta Reverse Problem!!

:mad: I have a 1988 mazda MX6 that is front wheel drive,2.2l fuel injected auto tranny....Last night I went to put it into reverse and the reverse lights came on and it wouldnt go back at all.....Then instead of not doing anything, it started going forward!!!!??? I dont have any idea what the problem is.......but It is just gettin me fustrated up one side and down the other,...If anyone has any idea what my prob could be, please e mail me or private messege me!! :smile: i think your transmission has a control valve fault or gear.also check trans oil level and linkage.either way if oil is correct level linkages working right trans must come out there is no real quick fix.good luck p.s try a wrecker for a good one .

Had The Same Prob....turned Out To Be Shagged Clutch Packs(*expensive*). Time To Get A New1. Doing A Manual Conversion Now
