Engine & Tranny Swap

What up, I own a 92 Prelude Si but the problem is that it's an Automatic and it's non-vtec. I wanna do an engine and tranny swap. Is it even worth changing my tranny from automatic to a 5 speed manual or should i keep it automatic and not worry about the hassle? (keep in mind it feels like my tranny is about to go)
