Dunno my provider, my parents worked out the whole buying process, I just pay :)

1993 Nissan Sentra, male, 18 yo, completely clean record (and still get blasted by high rates for no fucking reason...no fair :finger: ), liability ONLY, and still $2600 Canadian or so a year, so..eh, $125 USD a month or something like that

<-- ass raped on insurance

(8/12 points on my license) and im a male under 25... high risk pool baby, even though ive been driving for 4 years, going on 5 with no accidents ** knock on wood **) Im going to be taking a defensive driving course soon which should knock 3/4 points off, and another two are rolling off in March I think. So then I will only be left with 2-3 points, which is the same as one ticket. So my rates should probably get cut almost in half.

That depends on your state. I know Michigan kept them for 3 years. It might be 2 now.

Don't make me pull out my statistics. Women get in more fender-bender type accidents, whereas men get in more fatal (read: really expensive) accidents. Insurance rates reflect that.

In the year 2001, at almost every age, men had 1.5-2 times the death rate that women did in motor vehicle collisions.
Back in 1975, men had 3 times the death rate of women, but while the women's death rate has remained fairly constant, the men's has been dropping steadily.

i wish insurance companies gave the benefiet of the doubt for new drivers. At first, no accidents no tickets, no criminal history, then we should... tehy (18 now, heh) should pay at step 9 prices. But as soon as someone messes up, it goes back to normal step 15 plus however many points their infraction gives them.

I go through American Family Insurance.

1989 Chrysler LeBaron GTC: $80.00 per month, full coverage.

1994 Eagle Vision TSi: $89.00 per month full coverage.

1990 Chrysler LeBaron GTC: Probably the same as the '89 when I finally do insure it.

I'm 22 years old, single, and I have one speeding ticket.
