This is my version of the Tamiya Mitsubishi Evo VII, it`s built as Tommi makkinen`s car from the 2001 San Remo rally. The decals are made by Reji. Car built as standard with Studio 27 photo etch kit, except for the aerial arrangement on the roof and bootlid is different and there was no GPS on the 2001 car.

Steve,
The car looks great, I can only hope one day I will be able to build rally cars as good as yours.
I always look forward to seeing more of your work.

Steve, is it just me or are those nametags on the rear windows looking familiar to me? :D
Anyway, you've created a fantastic EVO VII, well researched and with attention to detail, hence the update sets. I like the aerials a lot. How did you do them? And also you're photography skills are way above average!
Cheers,
Guido

Super effort Steve, excellent attention to detail with no external mirrors, etc. Nice to see something slightly different in the Evo VII stakes.

My favorite part has to be the lack of side mirrors, great touch of realism. Great work!

Thanks for all the positive comments chaps, having a rather crappy week at work and getting home and reading your comments makes me feel a lot better, thanks.
I forgot to mention before, but thanks must go to Huudo for supplying the names for the windows, cheers buddy. The aerials and bases are made by Sakatsu, they make several different types and can all be seen at Mediamix Hobbies website, they are a quality item that provides a good finishing touch.
As for the decals I did actuallly use part of the Tamiya set (mainly the stripes along the side) because some parts were printed a little clearer (Michelin men for example) than on the Reji set, although the Reji decals do go on very well, they are quite thin and do conform very well to ridges and panel lines.
The mirrors or lack of is catered for in the Studio 27 photo-etch set, they give a blank to fill the gap where the mirror should be and also an internal mirror that mounts in the inside of the door.
