It looks like you didnt set your fill layer to multiply.

copy hood
paste hood
new layer
upload cf pattern in new layer
distort
twirl
ctrl click hood layer
select inverse
clear selection
change to multiply in cf layer
change brightness of hood layer
change opacity of cf hood
done

Thanx man, Now i look at mine and it pretty much sucks ass. But ive been practicing, and finally got decent results. Ill post pics later.
