My Honda Accord

My new Honda *New to me* is a 1991 Accord Automatic and i wanna totally PIMP:smoka: it out! Anyone got anything they think i should do?

What color is it? Red/clear taillights look decent. NOTE: not Altezza lights... ;)

It is Gold witha UGLY Maroon inter. MY GOD IS IT UGLY! But i havent had the time to do anything to it

Yeah i need a new paint job...a new trans...im thinking i might get a newer Accord....the more i look at mine the more i want a newer one! But i am going to stay with Accord b/c they KICK major butt!:silly2:

Personally, I just think they look nice. As for the major butt kicking, only with heavy modifications. I know cuz I have a 93 Accord Black. Depending on how you want to go about this. For cosmetics, get clear front corners and bumper. For the rear, since your car is that gold color, I say tint the top half of your rear lights which should be the turn signal and reverse. Don't tint them totally black, just smoke them a bit.

After the cosmetics, if you want to go with performance, get CAI, exhaust. Then go with the suspension.

Hey i dont know anything about Exhaust and i dont have any clue what to tell the person at the exhaust place and i know he will ripe me off if I show him i am clueless...HELP

Lower, rims make the biggest fastor on the exterior.

thats a pretty nice ride you got right there! I dont think i can do to many modifications to mine to because it has that UGLY Inter. going on in it (anyone with the maroon inter is there anything you have done to your to make it look cool...does the metalic blue match?!?! or crome?!?!?) Still need info on exhaust tho...wanna know what different ones do and which are good to get Thanx.

Thanks. I have the burgundy interior too...it sucks. I havent done anything to it yet. You can always do a interior swap..eventually Im going to change my interior to leather, and a different color.

Hey did your spoiler come with your car or did you buy it and install it? and how hard are they to install?

I bought the spoiler. it cost me about 175 plus paint and install. I ended up paying about 300 for everything. Its a 7" midwing. i got it from www.miamiperformance.com

verse----where'd u get those taillights? i;m thinking of getting either the red/clear or all red that i just saw. but i dont know if all red is illegal. does any1 know??? also, i just lowered my car and looks hella sweet. could be a little lwr in the front but it'll do. should have somepics up soon.

i got the red/clear taillights from a guy on the accordclub.com board. his name is lightningd, or TiAccessories on AIM. And yes, the all reds are illegal cuz it turns your reverse lights to red instead of white. What spring/shock combo did you go with when you lowered your car?

that's what i was afraid of...how much were your lights? i think it was nittany's car that i saw altezza style with carbon fiber housing that looked awesome but i'm pretty sure they dont make em for the 93. the ragular altezzas look nasty. i used h&r sport springs but didnt put on any performance shocks, i recetnly had to get shocks cuz when i got the car it had 78k with no records so i got monroe sensatracs from mavis to hold me over. once these get worn down i;ll be looking into some better ones....any suggestions?

As far as shocks, Tokico Adjustables are good, but Koni yellows are highly recommended...but they are pricey. i have Tokico Blues and theyre kinday bouncy. When these go bad, ill probably go with Tokico Adjustables.

Okay i have a stock 1991 Accord...i was going to get a Xenon ground effects kit...and i was wondering if you know if i will need to lower my car to make it look good or if it will look okay with just that. Thanx!

How much are we looking at to lower it? and how much should i lower it? and what all do you have to buy to lower it?

if u want it to look like that pic u're lookin at a good 2 in. i have h&r springs which are great and pretty cheap. springs are anywhere from 150-275. get shhocks too, i'm not sure about price or what's the best for that. if u go lower than 2 in u're also gonna need a camber kit which is another hundred or so. just be consider where u're gonna be driving...potholes could be a problem if it's too low

how much r u lookin to spend? if u want to lower and the kit it's definitly gonna be more than 700...why would your speedometer change?

I my is lowered 2.2" and I dont need a camber kit. Everythings cool. I paid $430 for the springs and shocks and did the install myself.

you ahvent worn down your tires at all?

of course i have some wear, but from normal conditions. Ive had my tires for a long time now(with the drop) and theres no unnormal wear.

For exhaust, those guys at the stores will tell u its gonna add like 15 horsepower. Thats bull, ur really gonna gain about 7 to 8 hp adn u wont even be able to feel it. Ive got a '90 accord with exhaust and intake and i can BARELY feel a difference. Plus, exhaust wont help u without intake. U wont have any extra to push out of it.

I was just in the car store and noticed this exhaust system called the Ravin...how much does that cost?!? and how good is it? **im lookin for sound not HP or anything for performance~**:smoka:

wouldnt headers make more of a diiference with the exhaust to get more gain

does any1 know how easy it is to put hyper white bulbs in headlights?? do i ned to take apart the front bumper? i plan on putting in clear corners but as far as i know all u haveto do is unscrew the brackets and install the new ones. and the same bascic thing for the bumper lights

Get a newer accord, they look much better fixed up, and a 91 probably has a grip load of miles and isnt worth modding.

I like my car! it has 120k miles on her...still doing good and it will look SWEET! ! but ii want to know what the best exhaust is for sound! All i want is a AWESOME sound! **HP and all that = shit!**

That picture you got that goes along with your messages is very nice looking accord....but lose those nasty rims and it would be a sweet ride.

Also new style is JDM, so get clears, but stick orange bulbs in, its getting more trendy now that those blue bulbs are over played.

IN Japan cars have clear corners with orange bulbs, you put the orange bulbs anywhere you put clear corners =)

yeah its mine, everythings still basically stock but i got ya...do u know what goes into changin the regular headlight bulbs?? i'm gonna put hypers into the low beams. i'm pretty sure the corners r easy to do
