going into the army. am i dumb?

yea tommorow at 3pm i am going and getting my nads felt on and signing the paper work. well at lest i can save some dough and get my car done while i am gone :( i will miss my car:(

Way to be on the Army choice. Marines tend to be assholes... we all know about those "Naval Officers" ;)... Air Force is okay I suppose, but if I ever got in good enough shape, I'd probably go Army.

The nads part sucks, but good luck. Where are you going for training?

I just recently started in the Canadian Forces Army Reserve. Its great, and I couldnt be happier. I go on tuesdays nights and a couple weekends a month. Only have to go if I want to. Going for my basic training in June.

Kate's bro is in the Marines....hes no where near an asshole. Where I went to HS, it was a thing of respect to go into the Marines. I know several people who have gone through all the training and 6 out of 10 are now over seas fighting against terrorism. I have nothing bad to say about the Army, Marines, Air Force or Navy. I have great respect for anyone who joins on their own power to stand up and fight for the US. Good luck to you! Just remember when your time comes to headover, just remember what you're fighting for and always remember your beliefs.

I am just gonna miss my car and my cell thru booty camp, but i get it after:D plus i want to go in to get laser sergury done on my eyes for free. i still have my worries and stuff leaving everyone behind. they are like you are gonna get shot or blown up. so i figured i would go over there blow up some bad folks, and try to not get to pyro happy and blow myself up:D on the positive side tho i will have a dope azz car well i will think so since i am gonna be sending my parents 500 or so a month to work on my car for me"gotta love a mom who digs imports"

So go to a different recruiter. If you have to, go above him. It's his loss for not getting you what you want. But do not get stuck into a MOS that you do not want.

everything is good now i just have to make the 45 minute drive to mt plesant today in all this ice/sleet build up on the road i told him to get me what i wanted or i was calling the marine recruter lol now that i think about it i should have just called the marines

My brother-in-law just joined the Army, and before he enlisted they tried to persuade him into joining Infantry. He told them, "I already have a brother that's in the Marine Corps, and my father is a retired Marine...". He wouldn't join unless they gave him what he wanted. Now he's leaving this May for boot camp, and his MOS is Radiology.

My husband is in the Marine Corps, and acts like an a**hole when he has to be. Haha! I'd say all military branches have some a**holes. I've dealt with a few of them on this airforce base.

thnx for your support i couldnt make it yesterday . i hate it when my car acts like a snow plow lol. the recruter is stopping by today in 4 hours at 9am today to pick me up.i wished i would have known he lived only 8 minutes from me lol
