How much does the stock flywheel weigh, and how much does a lightweight flywheel wheel weigh? Thanx in advance

My Fidenza flywheel weighs 11.5 lbs. A stock one weighs way more than that. :)

Ok, thanx all. Call me crazy, but i dont think its worth forkin out the extra money for 8 lbs off my weight, hell, I'll just lose 8 lbs myself, starting........NOW!!!

Lightweight flywheels arent made that way to save overall weight on your car. It all has to do with rotational mass... When they weigh less, they will spin up faster and give you better acceleration (not drastically but sufficiently). But, there is such thing as a too light-weight flywheel. If they are too lightweight, the engine will lose inertia (in between shifts when the clutch is engaged, the RPM's will drop a lot quicker which is no good) Anyways, stock ones weigh 15-18lbs. If you plan on getting one, dont go under 11 lbs or you will lose that precious inertia.
