:alien: Hey everyone I'm new to these forums and this is my first thread. I have a crappy 1998 Honda Civic 4dr LX and i'm getting tired of it so i am planning on getting rims. I was leaning toward either ROTA Sub-Zero's or the ROTA Slipstream in Black, but was unsure of the size to get. I am thinking either 16" or 17". I wanted to get 17" but wasn't sure if they would be too big, My car is not dropped but i might do it if there will be a major gap in the wheel well. If it is too big i'll stick with the 16", I'm confused , PLEASE let me know your opinion. Thanks A lot!!!! :alien:

17s with a 1" drop, 16s if you're gonna drop it anymore than that.

Actually, size 15 is very good. Size 17 is quite big already, IMO.

Yeah Mil, but 15 =
-No Street Cred
-Standard Size
-Not much variety available aftermarket
-Don't fill the wheel arches - which is what many people are trying to do
But I like 15" too.

I started out with 17s, tried 18s now I'm back to 15s cause there are lots of performance tires in 15s. I run 16s for daily driver and 15s for competition. Plus the wheels are lighter and usually cheaper too.

15" with drop..... anything else would be too big for streets.......

17" your not racing drop it and get a stiff shock it will look bad ass. 16"s don't look bad but you still have alot of tire and given the aperance of a large wheel well gap.

here is my theory:
Eclipses (have moster wheel gap) = 18's-20's
Hondas (not very hellaceous wheel gaps= performance 14-16's
show 17-20's if you can fit them. but all depends on what you want. But if you want performance you going to lose big time if you get 17 and up.
thats just my theory, if you dont have an eclipse anything below 16 is fine :D

That depends on the width and offset too. Alot of people forget that. You cannot fit any 17" wheel on a Civic. It has to be 17x7" with a 42-44mm offset.
It would be like me asking: what tire can fit on my car that's made of rubber and has treads and grooves.

would 17" Motegi MR'7s (17x7, +40mm) fit with a eibach pro kit setup or should i go with the 16's?

I would suggest getting a 17x7" rim with a 42-44mm offset. Some companies' 40mm offset can be 38mm and some others can be 42mm offset.
I had 40mm offset and sometimes they rubbed and sometimes they didn't with the same tire and drop.

Motegi = American Racing = CRAP
Stay away from them, the paint on the wheels will chip off very quickly. Dont buy them, look for a quality wheel... hell I would pick Rotas up before I spent my money on Motegi :bloated:
