with all due respect for the greatest player to play the game, i think the whole jordan fiasco kinda took away from the actual event. the whole show didn't go 2 minutes without mentioning jordan. even when garnett was being honored for the MVP, jordan was still the headline. i kinda felt that that stole some of garnett's thunder, who played am incredible game.

i'm a big fan of jordan, growing up in chicago and all. but it was like jordan died and it was a memorial ceremony. i think it was overdone. a nice speech, a short video on his accomplishments and highlights of his career would have been enough. but almost every interview with the other players had jordan as the subject.

oh well, not dissin on jordan but i feel bad for other players who are trying to shine in the moment, among the best of the best, but still have to step aside for someone else who's had his chance many times before.
