My spiritual ethics of confession and penance are most akin to Catholicism, but I don't really believe in a God, as is written in the Bible... I don't think there is a bit of God in everyone, I think there is a bit of everyone in God :)
Just my wacky beliefs...

But of course, noone is inherently one thing or the other. We shouldn't hijack this thread though ;)

I used to have myself convinced that way. Now I can confidantly say no.

I believe in Christian values, but,as with many religions, there have been too many cases where spiritual belief has been used as a pretext for breaching its own codes of behaviour,I have little faith in the integrity of religions in general.

hahaha, I think you missed the point there, Damien.
Anyway, I was raised as a Presbyterian (division of Protestant). I was baptized, attended church and went to Bible School in a little Presby Church. However, as I've grown and gotten my own ideals I've seen my view on Organized Religion fade. My "Try to be a good person" approach still includes God, but he is more "human"... Very similar to Cbass' idea, but not entirely. God is everywhere: i.e. you don't need to go to Church to talk with Him. It is nearly as far as one can get from Catholocism b/c I think it's absolutely foolish to think that man, who is "created in His image" is not good enough to pray to He who made him. Praying to someone "better" than you is completely against that notion.
Anyhoo, enough of my rant for now. (Can we tell that my latest b/f is the "son of a preacher man"??? )
